I kept thinking, I'll getting around to updating the blog, ha.
For those of you who are faithful, I give you kudos, I don't know how you do it.
By the time I get home from work, make dinner, spend time with the girls, get everyone ready for bed, my motivation ends there. (Not like I do all of this by myself, Joel is obviously completing the team effort here.) Now with the summer upon us, softball, music class, swimming and playing outside pretty much consume any attempt at a normal routine.
Over the last few months any free time has been spent searching for the best money borrowing strategy, as well as tracking down a contractor, creating cash flow spreadsheets, scope definition and reading contracts in order to start an addition on our house. All of these need for details are the curse of being an engineer! And to think, they haven't even started any work yet. But hopefully by the end of the year, we will have two new bedrooms upstairs (one for Emerson and one for Brynn) and Emerson's existing room will be a play room (no it is not for another baby).
Brief kid update:
Emerson:
- Has moved up in day care into a more structured room at day care and it is amazing the difference that it is making.
- She started riding a real bike (with training wheels) last week. Took a little bit to convince her that she wasn't going to be riding anythign without a helmet. Her new purple helmet, is going in for show and tell tomorrow, so I think she gets it.
- She loves her play set and being outside.
Brynn:
- While fully animated, speech is coming very slowly. No is about all we get right now, but hopefully with her move up at day care words will start flowing.
- She has taken on the role of the tuffy! Chipped tooth and all (that happend two weeks ago). She didn't even cry and we didn't notice until we were eatting dinner.
- She thinks she rules the playset and loves riding on her radio flyer.
Very brief, as I should get back to work...
Maybe more to come...
